# Simulation mode

Use simulation mode to test your site's email-sending flows without contacting a real provider.

## Turn it on

1. Go to **BooleanSMTP → Settings**.
2. Under **Testing & Content**, turn on **Email Simulation Mode**.

While it's on, every outgoing email is recorded to **Email Logs**, under the **Simulated** tab, instead
of being sent — nothing reaches a real inbox.

:::caution
Use simulation mode only on a local or staging site, and turn it back off before you go live. While it's
on, no real email leaves your site — including password resets and order receipts.
