Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms apply when you use booleansmtp.com, including its documentation at booleansmtp.com/docs/, and developers.booleansmtp.com (the “websites”), the BooleanSMTP WordPress plugin (the “plugin”) and the BooleanSMTP OAuth relay at oauth.booleansmtp.com (the “relay”), all provided by BooleanPress. By using them, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policyexplains how we handle personal data.
The plugin
BooleanSMTP is free software, licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPLv2 or later). That licence, not these terms, governs your rights to use, study, change and share the plugin’s code. As the licence says, the plugin comes without any warranty.
The OAuth relay
The relay is a free service that passes the one-time sign-in code from Google or Microsoft back to your site. You may use it only for connecting BooleanSMTP on sites you operate. Do not use it to attack, overload or probe it or any other system, and do not misrepresent where a request comes from. We may change, limit or discontinue the relay; you can always use your site’s own callback URL instead by defining BOOLEANSMTP_USE_LOCAL_OAUTH_REDIRECTS.
Sending email responsibly
You are responsible for the email your site sends through the plugin: for having the right to email the people you email, for following anti-spam and privacy laws that apply to you (such as CAN-SPAM, the GDPR or CASL), and for following the terms of the mail providers you connect. Do not use BooleanSMTP to send spam, malware or unlawful content.
Third-party services
The plugin connects to services we do not control: mail providers such as Google, Microsoft and Amazon, and alert services such as Slack, Discord and Telegram. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their availability or actions.
Our names and content
BooleanSMTP, BooleanPress and their logos are our trademarks; please do not use them in a way that suggests we endorse you or your product. The text and design of the websites are ours, except where noted. Code published under an open source licence is governed by that licence.
No warranty
The websites, the plugin and the relay are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that email sent with BooleanSMTP will be delivered, or that the services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, BooleanPress is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business, arising from your use of the websites, the plugin or the relay. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question, which for these free services is zero.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page shows the latest version. When BooleanSMTP Pro is offered for sale, its purchase, licence and refund terms will be published here before it launches.
