Send WordPress email through Microsoft 365 / Outlook
For a business on Microsoft 365, the Graph API is the modern way to send from your own mailbox: no SMTP port to open, and no password stored on your site. BooleanSMTP sends through Microsoft Graph with an app you register in your own Microsoft Entra tenant.

- OAuth sign-in
How BooleanSMTP sends through Microsoft 365
HTTP API
BooleanSMTP sends over Microsoft 365’s HTTPS API instead of SMTP, so no SMTP port has to be open on your server, and it signs in with OAuth instead of storing a password.
The connection asks for
- Client ID
- Client Secret
- Tenant ID
Plus the From address and name every connection has.
Before you connect
Register an application in Microsoft Entra, give it permission to send mail, and have its client ID and client secret ready. Leave the tenant ID at its default, common, unless you want to limit sign-in to your own organization. BooleanSMTP signs in with the app and keeps the token refreshed.
Setup guide: Microsoft 365Pair it with a fallback
Microsoft can pause sending from a mailbox it thinks is misbehaving, and secrets expire on a date you set. A second connection, such as Amazon SES or an SMTP provider, as the fallback covers both.
When Microsoft 365 refuses a message, BooleanSMTP tries your fallback connection at once, logs which one delivered it, and alerts you on Slack, Discord or Telegram only if every attempt fails. See the whole path
What Microsoft 365 receives
Only what sending needs: each message (recipients, subject, body, headers, attachments) and the credentials you enter for the connection, sent to Microsoft 365 when WordPress sends an email. BooleanSMTP stores those credentials encrypted in your own database. Read Microsoft 365’s terms and privacy policy.
