Send WordPress email through Zoho Mail
Zoho Mail is a popular choice for small businesses that want professional email on their own domain. Sending your site’s email through the same Zoho account keeps everything in one place, from your sent folder to your domain’s records.

How BooleanSMTP sends through Zoho Mail
Through the Custom SMTP connection
In BooleanSMTP, add a mailer, choose Custom SMTP, and enter Zoho Mail’s SMTP server below with your Zoho Mail SMTP login. Logging, the fallback, retries and alerts work exactly as they do for every other connection.
| SMTP host | Port | Encryption |
|---|---|---|
| smtp.zoho.com | 587 | TLS |
| smtp.zoho.com | 465 | SSL |
| smtppro.zoho.com | 587 | TLS |
| smtppro.zoho.com | 465 | SSL |
- Username
- Your full Zoho Mail address
- Password
- Your Zoho password, or an application-specific password if two-factor authentication is on
smtp.zoho.com is for personal accounts and free organizations, smtppro.zoho.com for paid organizations with their own domain. The From address must be your account’s address or one of its aliases.
Checked against Zoho Mail’s SMTP documentation.
Before you connect
Have your Zoho address and password ready, or an app password if two-factor authentication is on, and check which Zoho region your account is in: accounts outside the US use their region’s SMTP server.
Setup guide: Custom SMTP connectionsPair it with a fallback
A mailbox account suits everyday site email. If your site sends in bursts, add a sending service such as Amazon SES, Brevo or SMTP2GO as the fallback.
When Zoho Mail refuses a message, BooleanSMTP tries your fallback connection at once, logs which one delivered it, and alerts you on Slack, Discord or Telegram only if every attempt fails. See the whole path
What Zoho Mail receives
Only what sending needs: each message (recipients, subject, body, headers, attachments) and the credentials you enter for the connection, sent to Zoho Mail when WordPress sends an email. BooleanSMTP stores those credentials encrypted in your own database. Read Zoho Mail’s terms and privacy policy.
